Panthers RB Jonathon Brooks’s groin injury suffered on Sunday was worse than initially believed. Michael David Smith of ProFootballTalk.com reports that, per Ian Rapoport, Brooks will need core muscle surgery and will miss at least six weeks rather than being just week-to-week. Carolina will place Brooks on injured reserve.
