Cookie Policy

Last updated September 12, 2026

This page explains what Fantasy Guru stores on your device when you visit fantasyguru.com, why we store it, how long it stays, and how to change your mind. It covers our websites at fantasyguru.com and shop.fantasyguru.com, where subscriptions are bought. It sits alongside our Privacy Policy, which explains what we do with personal information generally.

Your current choice

Everything except the strictly necessary cookies is off until you turn it on, and you can change that here or from the Cookie Settings link at the bottom of any page.

What a cookie is

A cookie is a small file a site asks your browser to keep, and hands back on your next visit. We also use two things that behave the same way: local storage, which keeps larger amounts of data in your browser, and pixels, which are tiny requests that let a company know a page was opened. Where this policy says “cookies”, it means all three.

What we use, and why

We group cookies into four categories. The first is always on because the site cannot work without it. The other three are off until you allow them, and nothing in them loads before you do: we do not load a vendor’s script and then hold it back, so on a first visit no analytics, advertising or support vendor runs at all.

Strictly necessaryAlways on

These keep you signed in, remember the settings you have chosen inside our tools, and record your cookie choice itself. Without them the site cannot do what you have asked it to do, so they are set without consent and cannot be switched off here. You can still block them in your browser, but parts of the site will stop working.

Functional

We use the Freshworks (Freshdesk) help widget so you can start a support conversation from any page. It sets its own cookies to keep track of that conversation. Turn this off and the widget is not loaded; you can still reach us by email.

Analytics

Google Analytics and PostHog tell us which pages are read, how people move through the site, and what breaks. PostHog also records sessions: a replay of the pages you opened and what you clicked, which we watch to find where the site is confusing or broken. It is served from data.fantasyguru.com, which is our own address for PostHog, so its cookies are set by us rather than by another site. We use all of this to decide what to build and what to fix, not to advertise to you: that is what the advertising category below is for.

Advertising

StackAdapt and Google Ads tell us when an ad we paid for led to a visit or a subscription, and let us show our own ads to people who have visited before. Refusing this is passed to Google as a consent signal, so its advertising tags stay off even if you allow analytics. This is the category that counts as sharing personal information for targeted advertising under US state privacy laws, so refusing it here is also how you tell us not to sell or share your information.

Video and other embedded content

Some pages embed a player or a widget from another company, such as a StreamYard broadcast on FG TV, a YouTube video in an article, or a Discord link. When you play embedded video, that company can set its own cookies under its own policy. We cannot switch those off for you, so treat a video you play as a visit to that company’s service.

How to change your mind

Use here or at the bottom of any page. Turning a category off stops the vendor loading and deletes the cookies it set that we can reach. We ask again after 6 months, so a choice never stands forever.

Your browser can also block or delete cookies for any site, and its help pages explain how. If your browser or an extension sends a Global Privacy Control signal, we treat it as refusing analytics and advertising without you having to do anything, and that also serves as your instruction not to sell or share your personal information. You can opt out of Google Analytics in any browser with Google’s opt-out add-on, and out of interest-based advertising across many companies at YourAdChoices and the Network Advertising Initiative.

Your rights

Depending on where you live you may have the right to see the personal information we hold, correct it, delete it, or object to how we use it. Our Privacy Policy explains those rights and how to exercise them. Refusing a cookie category here never affects what you paid for: your subscription, your tools and your content work the same either way.
