Josh Alper of ProFootballTalk.com reports that Giants QB Jameis Winston is set to remain the starter after Jaxson Dart’s season-ending knee injury, beginning with Week 3 against the Titans. Winston called the opportunity to start nearly a full season for the first time since leaving the Buccaneers after 2019 ‘a beautiful opportunity,’ saying, ‘This is what I’ve always dreamed of, to be a starting quarterback… I dream of being what I am right now and executing at a high level.’ Winston struggled in Monday night’s loss to the Rams after replacing Dart, but said he is ‘very confident in my ability to execute with precision’ going forward. The Giants also face the Cardinals and Commanders in the next three weeks.
