Eagles WR Dontayvion Wicks will take over as the team’s top receiver in Sunday’s Week 4 game against the Rams with WR DeVonta Smith (hamstring) out, and the coaching staff was extremely impressed by how he looked in that role in practice this week. With Smith and WR Hollywood Brown (ankle) out, the Eagles are likely to play Wicks, WR Makai Lemon and WR Darius Cooper the most, with WR Elijah Moore expected to rotate in; Cooper and Moore should see an uptick in playing time. Wicks has 9 catches on 15 targets for 179 yards and a touchdown through three games, second on the team behind Smith in all three categories. “We feel like everyone’s capable of shouldering that burden,” offensive coordinator Sean Mannion said this week.
