Bears head coach Ben Johnson was not ready to name a starting quarterback for Sunday’s home game against the Jets on Wednesday, saying “We’ve got three guys” and that the starter will be “whoever we feel like gives us the best chance to win.” Johnson said QB Case Keenum’s performance in Monday’s 27-7 win over the Eagles, when he threw for 247 yards and two touchdowns and ran for another score, “plays a part of the evaluation,” adding that “the direction’s already been made, so we’ll be in good shape for Sunday.” QB Caleb Williams (hamstring) is “getting better every single day” but would not be at Wednesday’s walkthrough, Johnson said. QB Tyson Bagent was not cleared from the concussion protocol until Sunday.
