Rams | Aaron Donald could go past his ‘general snap count’ with Ford, Turner on IR

Rams DT Aaron Donald has a “general snap count” going into each game, but defensive coordinator Chris Shula said the team might leave him in longer in a tight game now that DTs Poona Ford and Kobie Turner have landed on injured reserve this week. “I don’t think we would go crazily past that, but it’s going to be hard if it’s a tight game and he’s at that number, just kind of like one of those pitchers in the ninth inning, you’re probably going to leave him in for a few extra pitches,” Shula said. Donald, who came out of retirement and rejoined the team on Aug. 30, posted his two highest single-game pressure rates of the season over the last two weeks, 13% against Arizona and 10.5% against Buffalo. “If it’s 30 plays, 40 plays, 50 plays, 60 plays, that’s what it’s going to be,” Donald said ahead of Sunday’s game at the Raiders.
