DFS NFL Cash Game Breakdown â Week 9
Jeff Mans breaks down everything you need to know to build safe, high-floor lineups for your cash games. It was a roller coaster of emotions last week as we had to stress over the hot start of Eagles WR A.J. Brown through the super chalk hit of Tony Pollard, the late run of Panthers RB DâOnta Foreman and the Hail Mary miracle of the questionable chalk, D.J. Moore. Eventually, the pure domination of Titans RB Derrick Henry got us back on track, all the while Colts QB Sam Ehlinger struggled through his first career start and posted a measly seven-point game. If you managed to stay above the pack, congratulations! If not, better get over it quickly because we have yet another very challenging week ahead of us in DFS NFL. Week nine is the first of the season with six teams that are on a bye week. Then, higher-powered offenses like the Eagles, Chiefs, Ravens and Saints are all off of the main slate, which dilutes the player pool even more. So, it is our job to navigate the rough and tumble waters of Colts/Patriots, Raiders/Jaguars and Rams/Buccaneers this week. Gross, I know. We have played eight weeks of the DFS NFL regular season and still have 10 to go. If you feel like it has been a tumultuous first two months of the season, you are not wrong. Many of you already know who I am from talking with me in Discord, but for those who donât, I have been playing DFS for almost two years now and have found great success in that short period of time. I was approached by Jeff with an opportunity to try writing and putting my own thoughts and process into an NFL GPP article. I hope I am able to teach and explain some of my own processes and help you develop your own, so you too can have success in the DFS space. After plenty of trial and error, I have found that my style of DFS is more suited to GPP contests and most notably single-entry and three-max contests. The thing I found is I am more than willing to take a stand on players/game theories I believe in; sometimes they work, others they donât, but I am willing to stand by my beliefs and put that up against anyone. What I have found is people tend to take fewer ârisksâ in a single-entry contest. With college football, we want to focus on the fastest-paced games. The majority of the time you will want to eat some chalk in CFB, which I will notate every week. I will be providing my core four here, which will be cash- and GPP-viable plays. We have an odd year right now with many conferences not playing, so schedules are very messy compared to the norm. Generally, we will be focusing on game totals at or over 57.5 implied total points. Ideally for game stacks we want a fast-paced competitive game with a high total. There will be plays with lower game totals simply due to pricing, usage (targets, catches, etc.), overall slate builds and so forth. Letâs look at this weekâs plays.

We are identifying the best tight end for our DraftKings, FanDuel and SuperDraft lineups. Despite the inconsistent position, this article will focus on finding the optimal tight end each week. One area we will be looking at is playing time. You have to be on the field to make plays, so players who are backups and blocking back are less likely to be in this article. Also, weâll concentrate on the TEs who run routes, are heavily targeted, and play on a team that has a high expected total, according to Vegas. It can be hard to check all the boxes, but we can identify those with the most upside and safest floor. Each site has a salary for players, and with some sites, we will use a salary point to decide on which TE to use if the comparison is close. We will also focus on the TE slot in contests, not the FLEX. Theyâre folks who suggest using a double TE at times, especially in MME GPPs. Also, itâs recommended with GPPs that you correlate with the QBs. This will help maximize the positionâŠ
