Eagles QB Jalen Hurts will miss Sunday’s game against the Panthers because of a superficial blood clot, NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reported Thursday. According to a team statement, Hurts said he was cleated in the calf during the Rams game. An ultrasound in London last Saturday found the clot, but doctors concluded he could safely play, and he “played without limitation” Sunday against the Jaguars. A follow-up ultrasound on Wednesday night “revealed movement in the small blood clot,” and the team said Hurts will be out “as we determine the appropriate course of treatment.”
