Mike Horn breaks down stats at the WR position. This piece will highlight players to targets in trades, who to move on from in a transaction, and who could be cut if you want to make a waiver wire or free agent addition. Some of our most difficult decisions stem from who do we walk away from regarding our rosters. Early on, this article will be about targeting players to help make our rosters better in the near future. As the season rolls on, we will evolve to target players we should add for our fantasy postseason run. Please don’t get me wrong, you have to make the playoffs first, but it’s too late to try to build for the playoff run once we pass the trade deadline. You are too late if you wait to make the playoffs to build for the postseason. You have to plan to build to win at the end of the year and through the playoffs. Always look, note, and get an idea of ideal targets for the end-of-the-season push. That said, let’s dig into an early look at players that we could potentially add for the correct value. Keep in mind the best way to add via the trade is to target players whose values are down now, but you expect to increase in value. And always look to trade from a position of strength to a place of weakness. Some or all of these players may not be available to you simply because you can’t offer a commodity, a player that makes the other team “better.” Conversely, you may not be able to move some of the sell players because other team managers don’t see value in adding the player.

Come enjoy Bill Reinhard’s fantasy football musings every week as he dives into the NFL! I am a big fan of 1980s movies. The Breakfast Club, Back to School, Ferris Bueller, 16 Candles, Caddyshack and Animal House all hold a special place in my heart. But none can hold a candle to the zany come-of-age high school flick Fast Times at Ridgemont High. This film launched the careers of Nicolas Cage, Anthony Edwards (Goose in Top Gun), Phoebe Cates (va-va-voom), Sean Penn, Jennifer Jason Leigh, Judge Reinhold, Forest Whitaker and Eric Stolz. Hell, even Bruce’s kid sister Pamela Springsteen had a part. Everything that happens in this movie is true. I know because I lived it. If you’re old like I am, or young like my kids, it’s worth your while to watch this movie and marvel at the pre-cell phone/social media days of stoners, surfers, burn-outs, nerds, drinking and driving, unprotected sex, malls full of kids hanging out and abusive teachers who could make you take a midterm exam instead of attending prom. Speaking of midterms, we are about halfway through the NFL season. Fire up the bong and grab some German bratwurst as we grade the 2022 QBs and RBs in Fantasy Football as of Week 8…

The Week 9 Contest Selections!! Every week during the season, I am going to highlight the featured contests with the best payouts on both FanDuel and DraftKings. The kind of contests that are best to enter are the single-entry contests both sites have. Generally, FanDuel seems to feature more single-entry contests with better payouts. I also don’t mind NFL DFS contests with 3-5 entry max. Once we have found the single-entry or 3-5 entry max contests, it’s all about finding a payout that is greater than 20%, preferably 25% or greater…

Armando Marsal takes a look at notable trends in snap counts from last week. Like I do every year, I will dive into offensive snap counts after each week. This article will focus on identifying changes, trends, and things we should be taking note of for players and their opportunities. Snap counts are a part of my weekly analysis because they gauge how often a player is on the field, which could translate into potential opportunity to produce fantasy points. Even though playing time does not always translate into fantasy points, the path to scoring fantasy points is easier for those players on the field. Looking at snap counts and comparing them to volume/touches also gives us a clear picture of a player’s role in their offense. Some positions, such as quarterbacks, are straight forward, but others not so much. I will focus primarily on situations that we need to be keeping a close eye on and situations that stand out to me. At the end of the article I will include a spreadsheet with all the weekly snap counts for all teams, along with the YTD snap counts.

Chris Rose breaks down the Week 9 QBs for your Cash and GPP needs!! What a great week one in the 2022 season! Welcome to Week 2 of our NFL DFS Quarterbacks coach article – where I identify optimal point-per-dollar plays for our lineups on FanDuel and DraftKings. The biggest factors to consider when selecting Quarterbacks for our DFS lineups are matchup, game flow, Vegas totals and spread. Ideally, facing weak defenses with subpar secondaries are always our first target. For Quarterbacks to be viable DFS plays, we must focus on matchups where we believe the games will stay close and competitive or a team will be losing late and need to throw. For GPPs/tournaments, I tend to avoid Quarterbacks who are large Vegas favorites (14+ points), knowing that, if these favorites get out to a big lead early, they will stay between the tackles and run the ball most of the time. Let’s get into the plays for Week 2!

Armando Marsal takes an early look at waivers, pointing out his favorite players to target at each position, including a FAAB recommendation. Happy Monday Fantasy Guru fam! Hopefully, you survived the first week of the season and if you are in a nail biter on Monday night, well, may the force be with you! If you have not already done so, I strongly encourage you read Jeff Mans’ Week 1 Recap. This is my go-to every Monday morning, loaded with so much valuable information. Week 1 had some notable players go down with injuries, but the good news is that for the most part, none of the injuries appears to be season-ending. That said, some players could miss some time, which means that some players could see more opportunities in the upcoming weeks and roles could increase. We still have one game left on the Week 1 schedule, but there was plenty to take in this weekend. As I will be doing every Monday this season, I want to take an early look at the waivers, pointing out some players that stood out, those that I am prioritizing off waivers this week, as well as others that should be on your radar. Let’s dive right into it.
