College Football: FanDuel (Thursday)
Scott Bondar breaks down Saturdayâs Early slate!! Playing football DFS isnât limited to the pro game, and with so many games on the college side of things, knowing who and how to approach the game is that much more important. With college football, we want to focus on the fastest-paced games. The majority of the time you will want to eat some chalk in CFB, which I will notate every week. I will be providing my core four here, which will be cash- and GPP-viable plays. We have an odd year right now with many conferences not playing, so schedules are very messy compared to the norm. Generally, we will be focusing on game totals at or over 57.5 implied total points. Ideally for game stacks we want a fast-paced competitive game with a high total. There will be plays with lower game totals simply due to pricing, usage (targets, catches, etc.), overall slate builds and so forth. Letâs look at this weekâs plays.

Welcome to Week 2 of our NFL DFS Quarterbacks coach article â where I identify optimal point-per-dollar plays for our lineups on FanDuel and DraftKings. The biggest factors to consider when selecting Quarterbacks for our DFS lineups are matchup, game flow, Vegas totals and spread. Ideally, facing weak defenses with subpar secondaries are always our first target. For Quarterbacks to be viable DFS plays, we must focus on matchups where we believe the games will stay close and competitive or a team will be losing late and need to throw. For GPPs/tournaments, I tend to avoid Quarterbacks who are large Vegas favorites (14+ points), knowing that, if these favorites get out to a big lead early, they will stay between the tackles and run the ball most of the time. Letâs get into the plays for Week 2!

Jeff Mans breaks down everything you need to know to build safe, high-floor lineups for your cash games. One down, seventeen more to go. Week one was a smashing success as we were able to propel our seasonal fantasy football research into quality DFS analysis. Specifically, paying up for the wide receivers proved to be the winning mechanism in the first week of this new season. In fact, for the first time in NFL history (back to 1980, anyway), the first four wide receivers taken in ADP finished as the top four points scorers in week one. But as great as Justin Jefferson, Davante Adams and JaâMarr Chase did last week, it was the values of Michael Pittman, Tyreek Hill, Christian Kirk and Jarvis Landry that were the real difference makers. If your lineup didnât finish above the cash line last week, please do not freak out. The early weeks are always full of chaos, and merely surviving is our ultimate goal. I strongly advise you to take a look back at your contests and compare your lineup(s) to those that did indeed finish in the money. This is a quick and easy way of identifying where you may have gone wrong.
