The Eagles signed QB Joe Milton III off the Cowboys’ practice squad on Friday. Eagles QB Jalen Hurts has been ruled out for Sunday’s game against the Panthers with a blood clot that was discovered in London, and the clot has since moved, leaving Hurts facing a possible extended absence. QB Tanner McKee will start, with rookie QB Cole Payton as the backup, and Milton adds depth as at least an emergency third quarterback and possibly a challenger for the backup job. The Eagles released veteran QB Andy Dalton a week ago and did not bring him back.
