Cardinals | LaFleur has made no decision on Week 9 starting QB after Minshew’s comeback

Cardinals head coach Mike LaFleur said on Sunday he has made no decisions about the team’s starting quarterback for Week 9 against the Seahawks. QB Gardner Minshew II replaced QB Jacoby Brissett with 1:35 left in the third quarter and the Cardinals trailing 17-3, then led touchdowns on his first four possessions in a 33-30 overtime win over the Cowboys, finishing 17-of-23 for 188 yards and three touchdowns. LaFleur said he made the change because the team needed “a spark,” adding, “I thought his timing was great… He’s about as resilient as they come.” LaFleur also said, “I know what the story is going to be, and so does [Brissett], but it was the collective.”
