This week will be very fun to watch and hopefully gamble on as well. Looking at the weather again and on Saturday if they wind stays how it is looking now, we are going to have some massive carnage going on and guys sitting in first can get knocked down quite a bit here. Let’s go into this week with a positive mindset and make some money. LET’S GET IT!!
Player Pool
Justin Thomas (Cash/GPP) $10,400
First time in multiple weeks that Rahm is not my number one guy on the week. Thomas is just so good and plays well here and at Pete Dye design courses in general.
Jon Rahm (Cash/GPP) $11,100
One of these tournaments he is going to break out of this funk he is in. I say funk but he has been inside the top 25 almost every week this year and yet we all think he is broken. That just shows how good he is.
Patrick Cantlay (Cash/GPP) $9,900
It is going to be hard to fade him in anything you play this week. Cantlay’s form is insane along with playing at the travelers and RBC heritage very well which are comp courses here. His App game scares me a bit, but he can easily top 10 here.
Xander Schauffele (Cash) $9,700
He is always my cash guy and has not let us down yet. Decent spot and likes to make cuts and we all know he has winning upside.
Hideki Matsuyama (GPP) $9,600
He is going to be GPP only because his downside is high, but he does have some high upside at this course as you can see in his previous times at this course.
Will Zalatoris (Cash/GPP) $8,900
His putting is pretty bad but his APP game is really good so I think it will put him in contention come Sunday.
Daniel Berger (Cash/GPP) $8,800
Probably one of my favorite overall plays on the board. Top 10 in my models and fits everything about this course and plays comp courses well also.
Brooks Koepka (GPP) $8,600
Has not been all that great and that is why his price is down here, but we all know he likes to show up and big tournaments and also plays well at travelers and RBC heritage. I will take a shot here.
Joaquin Niemann (Cash/GPP) $8,400
Fits this course well and plays Pete dye courses well. Stats also fit for him, so I actually like this price point.
Adam Scott (GPP) $8,200
Sets up very well for this week and plays Pete Dye courses well.
Shane Lowry (GPP) $8,000
Risky play this week but coming in high up in my model. Don’t love him but he is cheap enough though he can pay off. Lowry is a grinder.
Tyrell Hatton (Cash/GPP) $7,800
I liked him last week and he paid off his price tag now he got a price reduction and I still like him in this spot.
Webb Simpson (Cash/GPP) $7,600
This price is kind of joke and I will go out right now in this article and say I am all in on Webb this week and if he burns me then burns me.
Abraham Ancer (Cash/GPP) $7,600
Between him and Webb I might just lock both of them in my lineups and go from there. Plays very good on Pete Dye courses and has top 10 upside easily.
Paul Casey (Cash/GPP) $7,400
I know, I know, you guys think I’m crazy for this, but his stats and course history and course comps all line up… oh and he’s super cheap this week.
Russell Henley (GPP) $7,400
Going to be a big boom or bust type play, has not played good here but at the comp courses he plays decent and his stats line up for me.
Justin Rose (Cash/GPP) $7,300
Plays great at Pete Dye courses and I am going to rely on that. We all know he can win tournaments. His first missed cut since June of 2021 was last week at the Arnold palmer. Nice bounce back spot.
Si Woo Kim (Cash/GPP) $7,300
MR. Pete Dye himself who loves playing at these types of courses. He should be chalky at this price but a good play for sure.
Corey Conners (GPP) $7,300
If he brings his irons this week, he is going to finish top 20 with upside for more.
Talor Gooch (GPP) $7,200
Gooch and Conners doing well at the same type of courses is a thing and they are priced right next to each other.
Russell Knox (GPP) $7,100
If only he could figure out the putting situation he would actually do very well here. Irons and driving are really good just need him to find a way to gain strokes putting.
Alexander Noren (Cash/GPP) $7,000
If this week is a grind’em week like we are thinking with the weather and everything Noren should do well.
Brian Harman (Cash/GPP) $6,900
Probably going to be one of, and probably, my favorite values on the board. He has done very good here and excellent at the comp courses. Stats on Pete Dye courses puts him 12th in my model.
Keegan Bradley (GPP) $6,900
Another good value play this week who should finish top 25 if I had to guess.
Harold Varner III (GPP) $6,800
Going to be a punt for me who is very boom or bust but does lineup to do well here.
Charley Hoffman (GPP) $6,700
Be very very careful here. He has withdrawn and pulled out of tournaments a couple times this year already. Super cheap so if he can finish the week, he could be ok.
J.T Poston (GPP) $6,100
Just need him to make the cut here to pay off the min price tag.
