This week we are finally moving onto The Masters, probably everybody’s favorite tournament of the year. It is where you get everybody, even if you don’t watch golf, watching a little bit of it or gambling on it because it is like the Super Bowl. With every other tournament now in our rear-view mirror we will smash this week, win a bunch of money and watch the greatest golfer in recent history come back from a very long extended absence due to his car accident. Tiger Woods as of this writing is considered a game time decision but I have heard from sources closer to Tiger saying he is ready to go. He looks great so we will see what happens. Now onto the course preview.

Course Preview
This course does not need any introduction of breakdown, but we will do it anyways just to refresh everybody and help you break down who you need to play here. This course for me is heavy with course history because if you played it before it will help with your landing spots and what lines to take to have the best shot opportunities. With a lot of left to right shots this has shown to favor lefty’s a bit in Bubba, Phill, MacIntyre who finished 12th here last year and Harman who also finished 12th here last year. Now I am not sure the guys playing will be in my article, but I will make sure to deep dive on them. Now onto the course. Augusta is a 7,510-yard par 72. This course is a bit longer than anytime in history. The par 4’s are not easy here as nine of them range over 440 yards and three of them over 490 yards. It is very easy to hit fairways here, but even though you might hit it, you can still have a worse shot than others just due to angles (which is why course history is big). The par 5’s are where you are going to have to score. On the par 5 13th, while it is a risk/reward 510-yard hole, you can make eagles here but you could also mess up your drive and have to scramble the rest of the hole. The greens here are fast and firm Bentgrass and hard to read. Another reason why course history is big…..you have felt these greens out in the past and crappy putters can also do good here. I mean look at Hideki last year.
Stats I am Looking at:
SG: T2G
SG: APP
SG: Par 5
Par 4 450-500
Driving distance
Also, guys for this week I have created a 100-person $20 contest for the Mafia. Please let’s make sure it gets filled and you all can come and beat me.
