The Pittsburgh Steelers are expected to target the cornerback position early in free agency, and there’s a sense of urgency within the organization about addressing the position to open up the defensive playbook, according to a source. Pittsburgh, according to sources, is expected to pursue CB Nate Hobbs (Raiders), who has a connection to the Steelers in defensive backs coach Gerald Alexander. CBs Charvarius Ward (49ers), D.J. Reed (Jets), and CB Carlton Davis (Lions) were discussed as possible options. CB Donte Jackson (Steelers) also could return to the team.
