Rich “Bo” Maletto
NFL/NASCAR Analyst
Rich isn’t our oldest contributor, but he is our resident curmudgeon on staff. Like a few others here at FantasyGuru.com, he’s played fantasy sports since mailing in lineups, calling 1-800 numbers to set lineups and hand scoring. Ironically, his first experience with fantasy sports was fantasy basketball back in 1992.
Rich is a dedicated contributor to our football and auto-racing content. His passion for football was ignited in his childhood, when his father coached a local junior high football program. Despite his modest football skills, Rich’s size in high school led to him being asked to play for the football team as a player-coach. However, he ultimately chose to focus on swimming, a sport in which he excelled at Georgia Tech, even earning a spot on the All-Time Top-10 list in two events.
Rich’s connection to racing runs deep, with his first taste of the sport coming at the 1982 Indy 500 qualifications. He hails from a family of local racers, further cementing his status as a true racing enthusiast. He even dabbled as a driver for a short term before running out of time and money to continue the weekend hobby.
When Rich isn’t actively engaging with our community in our Discord channels, he can be found immersing himself in a variety of interests. His love for football and motorsports is evident, but he also enjoys non-motorized racing and even a round of golf, showcasing his diverse range of passions. Don’t be alarmed if you see any pointy ears while tuning into our live streams, as his Dobermans Enzo and Rocco keep Rich and his wife hopping. Don’t be shocked if you see Rich’s wife dropping bets that cash regularly in the Discord channels. The whole Maletto household is on the FantasyGuru.com plan!
