Last week at The Masters really didn’t pan out for me but I know a couple people did well on the main slate so not all was lost. This week I am just trying to get back into form myself and have that drive to gamble on golf and actually cash. It has been a struggle for me gambling wise on golf since the start of the year so time to get back on track.
Course Preview
This week we move to Hilton Head SC to play the RBC Heritage on Harbour Town. This course is not the hardest on tour, but you will need to be pretty accurate to contend this week. This is a 7,100 par 71 with 4 par 3’s, 11 par 4’s and 3 par 5’s. You are going to need to be accurate instead of a bomber this week as if you look back no bomber has really won here, and a lot of guys take less than driver here. On approach you will see very small greens just like at Pebble Beach so you will need to have good irons and also a good ARG game because you will be missing greens this week. This course is a Pete Dye design course and the fairways are tree lined with barely any rough that will penalize guys who miss the fairway by a little bit. A big thing this week is course fit and history kind of like The Masters.
Stats I am Looking at

Player Breakdown
Cameron Smith (Cash/GPP)
Guy is just playing so well right now and a comp course for here is The Players and he won it this year. Also came 9th here last year.
Justin Thomas (GPP)
The crazy thing about JT is I would have thought his recent form was bad but looking at his recent tournaments he has actually smashed but no win has come yet.
Patrick Cantlay (GPP)
He is going to break out here soon after falling apart lately. He has great course history here and plays well on Pete Dye courses.
Daniel Berger (Cash/GPP)
Probably one of my favorite plays on this slate up here. I love his game and he fit this course and plays at the comp courses well also.
Shane Lowry (Cash/GPP)
He is due for a win here soon. Guy is just in some insane form and has played well here in the past. Finished 9th and 3rd 2 of the last 3 years here.
Joaquin Niemann (Cash/GPP)
A really nice play this week. Plays the comp courses well and also finished 5th here in 2020. Sets up well for this course.
Matthew Fitzpatrick (GPP)
I would be careful here in my opinion. I don’t love him as much as others this week. While his history at this course is good, he does not play comp courses all that well. Also, not the best at Pete Dye courses.
Russell Henley (Cash)
I do not mind him in GPP but he seems to be pretty safe lately compared to everyone else up here. Has not missed a cut since July of 2021 and that is actually impressive.
Webb Simpson (Cash/GPP)
Chalk chalk city this week and rightfully so. Owns this course and his game seems to be coming back now. Amazing on Pete Dye courses.
Alexander Noren (Cash)
I like him for cash because he is fairly consistent and as you can see. He has 3 top 30s the last three times played here.
Chris Kirk (GPP)
He is GPP only for me because he is hit or miss and while he is decent on Pete Dye, I don’t wanna rely on him being consistent in any cash games.
Kevin Kisner (Cash/GPP)
This sets up to be a well-fitted course for Kis as he does what we need. Pretty straight driving and also can get that putter hot. I don’t love that he has been losing on APP as of late, but I think he will be just fine.
Tom Hoge (GPP)
He is GPP for me just due to his ARG game. When he is gaining strokes there and keeping the putter in check he is doing very well in tournaments.
Matt Kuchar (Cash/GPP)
The last 5 times here he has not missed the cut along with finishing 2nd in 2019. He sets up well here and hopefully he is showing signs of life.
Brian Harman (Cash/GPP)
Awesome play in this range and I can see him competing for the top spot come Sunday this week.
Adam Hadwin (Cash/GPP)
On a tear as of late with three straight top 10s. I like him quite a bit this week and think we can see a top 15 again.
Cameron Young (Cash/GPP)
First time making his way into my article this year and I have missed a couple good ones, but hope we get it again here. He is going to be a good talent and can do well here.
Kevin Streelman (GPP)
If he can make the cut here, then he can smash his price tag. I’m thinking he will be lower owned and can top 10 this tournament.
Brendan Todd (Cash/GPP)
Prototypical play for this course because he isn’t the longest but is accurate off the tee and pretty accurate on APP. Oh and he’s one of the best putters in the field and ARG is usually pretty good.
Jim Furyk (GPP)
Has played once this year thus far but he is a great Pete Dye player and accurate as they come. I don’t know if I love him just because he doesn’t really have form.
