New England Patriots WR Efton Chism III could challenge for a spot on the team’s 53-man roster, in the opinion of ESPN’s Mike Reiss, who notes that the Patriots gave Chism, an undrafted free agent, a $25,000 signing bonus and guaranteed $234,000 of his base salary, which eclipsed the amount of guaranteed money that the team’s seventh-round picks received. The rookie totaled 346 receptions in college and has drawn comparisons to current Seattle Seahawks WR Cooper Kupp, who preceded him at Eastern Washington.
