Carolina Panthers president and general manager Dan Morgan told WFNZ’s Mac & Bone in late February he doesn’t expect to trade up in the 2025 NFL Draft but noted the franchise will be open to any opportunity with the No. 8 overall selection. The Athletic’s Joe Person believes Carolina could be a prime trading partner for any team looking to move up for Colorado QB Shedeur Sanders, if he’s still available with the eighth pick, as a it would position the prospective drafting team ahead of the New Orleans Saints’ ninth selection. The Saints are reportedly interested in Sanders with the recent injury to QB Derek Carr (shoulder).
