LSU QB Garrett Nussmeier (oblique) suffered an abdominal injury in August, and the injury hampered him into September and October before eventually ending his season a month prematurely. ‘I couldn’t use my core. So, I was throwing the ball without a core,’ Nussmeier said at the Senior Bowl. ‘I’ve been having to go back from the ground up and retrain myself and get back to finishing throws and rotating through the ball. I’m actually using my core now.’ He completed 67.4% of his passes for 1,927 yards and 12 TDs in 2025 before shutting it down.
