Vince Lombardi is one of the greatest coaches and leaders in the history of American sports. He coached the Green Bay Packers to NFL Championships in 1961, ‘62 and ‘65 and the first two Super Bowls in 1966 and ‘67. In his ten-year NFL career, he never had a losing record. After his tragic death in 1970 from cancer, he was immediately enshrined in the Pro Football Hall of Fame and the NFL Super Bowl trophy was named in his honor. He was beloved by his players, assistant coaches and fans. He also had a way with words. Between Lombardi and Yogi Berra, I’m not sure which professional sports figure has been quoted more. I doubt Vince Lombardi would have approved or embraced Fantasy Football, but with respect to the legend he is, let’s enjoy some of his famous wisdom and apply them to Week 3 in the NFL...
