Lions | Hendon Hooker decent in Friday’s start

Detroit Lions QB Hendon Hooker completed 7-of-10 passes for 38 yards, no touchdowns and no interceptions in the preseason game Friday, Aug. 8 against the Atlanta Falcons. Hooker made the start, while QB Kyle Allen came on and was efficient, too. While he also ran for 27 yards on three attempts, he lost a pair of fumbles, which could be a difference maker. Both players are battling for the backup job to QB Jared Goff.
