Atlanta Falcons QB Michael Penix Jr. finished 29th in the NFL in completion percentage during his stint as a starter late last year, and the team’s coaches put much of the blame on ‘unfamiliarity’ with his receivers, according to Josh Kendall of The Athletic. Kendall writes that the issue ‘should have been addressed’ during OTAs and minicamp, noting that if the ‘connection looks strong’ it’s a ‘good sign’ for the offense, and if not, it would be a ‘red flag.’
