QUARTERBACK
Trevor Lawrence – 95 (-4) – Ok, you’ve all finally wilted me. Lawrence had a really rough third season for what expectations were, and while I’m still very confident he’s going to be a long-term starter, 2024 is a pivotal year. If Lawrence doesn’t play well this year… it’s a strange new NFL where teams move on quickly. Of course with context Lawrence is still incredibly high in these ratings, and probably much higher than consensus, but I have to move him out of that top tier… for now. It’s the right thing to do, especially with how guys like C.J. Stroud played last year, I can’t in good faith keep Lawrence up with them even though I still value them equally. Market value matters and Lawrence is at a low point.
RUNNING BACK
James Cook – 80 (+3) – The Stefon Diggs trade didn’t actually change the evaluation of Cook for me… but it did bring to light the truth about his situation. Even before Diggs left via trade, the second half of last year was all about the new era of skill players on the Bills. Between Cook and Dalton Kincaid it was clear the future was bright, and Cook should see even more usage in the coming years. While Josh Allen will steal some rushing production he’s a very valuable dynasty RB.
WIDE RECEIVER
Garrett Wilson – 91 (+2) – After a slight downgrade after the 2023 regular season, Wilson deserves to shift back to his rightful place among the top dynasty WRs. Wilson has everything you look for in a featured weapon, and even an older Aaron Rodgers should be an immense upgrade for him this year.
Rome Odunze – 82 (+3) – Good lord was I not prepared for this draft cycle with Odunze. Sure, I thought he was a first round pick, but it appears at this stage he’s a lock for the top 10-15 picks, and we should value that accordingly. Odunze has a shot to really produce this year.
Rashee Rice – 79 (-5) – After the Tyreek Hill situation a few years ago I’m slower to react to news than before, but these are some pretty serious charges against Rice. I don’t think his career is in jeopardy, but if we’re talking dynasty value I’m fully on board with swapping him for anyone of equal value in his tier. For that reason, I have to drop him in the ratings.
TIGHT END
