Dallas Cowboys WR George Pickens, who is set to become a free agent, is expected to receive the franchise tag, according to ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler, but the belief is that Pickens will be seeking a ‘long-term deal.’ If the Cowboys don’t sign him to a long-term contract, some believe Pickens will stay away from the team ‘for a large portion of the offseason or even training camp.’ Pickens can further apply pressure by refusing to sign the franchise tag.
