Tampa Bay Buccaneers SS Tykee Smith was apparently benched in Week 17 against the Miami Dolphins, as head coach Todd Bowles opted to use backup S Christian Izien instead. Smith typically plays 100 percent of the snaps, and there was no report of injury. Smith was limited to 47 percent of the defensive snaps, and the benching might have been due to Smith appearing to be out of position on a long 63-yard TD to WR Theo Wease Jr.
