Updating previous reports, S Sam Franklin had received similar one-year contract offers from 17 teams in free agency before he signed with the Denver Broncos, according to agent Harold Lewis. Conversations with special teams coordinator/assistant head coach Darren Rizzi and general manager George Paton reportedly put the Broncos over the top. Franklin will earn a fully guaranteed base salary of $1.17 million in 2025 and the contract also includes a $167,500 incentive for making the Super Bowl.
