I would like to start by apologizing to everybody for last week. I fractured my hand and the content was slim to none. I will make it up this week by doing this article the correct way and also providing you all with Showdown each day. Last week was not great overall but we still have a little bit of time to make a big splash and crush. This week will be a good one and I am putting everything I have into my research and hope we all come out on top. Now let’s get to it!!
Course Preview
This week we make our way to Delaware to play at Wilmington Country Club which will be the first time ever hosting a PGA tour event. This course plays as a two-course setup but not your traditional multi-courses setup as this one is 18 holes picked out to play as one course. Super weird setup and not knowing much about this course from professional play also makes this week a bit tricky. This course will play as a 7,534-yard par 71 with more of the holes coming from the south course which is known to be the better course in Delaware. The main defining characteristic is the length of the course, and it should suit the bombers well this week. The fairways are tree lined with bent grass throughout and have thick, rough. These greens are big and easier to hit. This course gets its length from the par 3’s and then par 5’s so we will see 33% of the holes ranging from 400-450 yards.

Player Breakdown
Rory Mcllroy (Cash/GPP)
Rory is my favorite golfer up in this range this week and that will not be a hot take at all. Rory should come in with some big ownership with the way he has played and has played great at WGC Bridgestone which is seeming like a comp course. Also 2nd in my model.
Justin Thomas (Cash/GPP)
I feel like JT hurts us more often times than he doesn’t and I hate that. I will say he is 7th in my model and is top 10 in driving distance in this field. I think he will be quite chalky but with it being a no cut it’ll be hard to pass him and his scoring.
Scottie Scheffler (Cash/GPP)
Such a disrespectful price to put him at this week. I know he has struggled a bit lately, but he is still one of the best golfers in the world. We will have to see where his ownership comes in because if it’s really low then I will be way overweight.
Tony Finau (Cash/GPP)
His form right now is actually pretty crazy and has three straight top 5s with two wins. Number 1 in my model for the par 4 distances and should take advantage of those. 1st overall in my model as well.
Xander Schauffele (Cash)
Anytime he is in a non-cut event I always like him. The reason I have him as cash is because he will be high owned and can finish decently in this field. I don’t hate him for GPP but there are others around him I like more for that.
Collin Morikawa (GPP)
Looked really good last week and even with that he is going to be GPP only for me. He is just too inconsistent sometimes to really consider him in cash games. I do believe he has a great chance at a top 10 but he could also finish 40th losing strokes putting.
Sam Burns (Cash/GPP)
Burns will almost always be in my writeups just due to the fact that he can win a tournament and I wouldn’t even be surprised at this point. Has so much upside and comes in 11th in my model.
Cameron Young (GPP)
I hope he is lower owned this week sitting right next to Kim. I would take Young over him at this point and think he finishes higher than him this week. Everybody is high on Kim, and he keeps showing up for them, so I expect this to be a bit of a leverage play. 9th in my model as well.
Jordan Spieth (GPP)
Kind of a quiet name for the most part lately. Great at Bridgestone and I think he can take full advantage of this course. Stats aren’t the greatest, but they never really are for Spieth.
Shane Lowry (Cash/GPP)
If his putter shows up, he should do well. Won at Bridgestone back in 2015 which is awhile ago but being a comp course that is a good sign.
Joaquin Niemann (Cash/GPP)
Another guy I like quite a bit for cash games if you are playing them. He is steady and plays well in tough fields and on courses that are not birdie fests.
Aaron Wise (Cash/GPP)
Not the greatest putter but has done decent the last few tournaments with it. Always has massive upside along with coming 12th in my model. Not a super long driver but can make it work.
Adam Scott (GPP)
Great golfer at Bridgestone so he should be able to do well here along with being pretty long off the tee and good from these proximity distances. GPP because he sometimes sucks with the putter.
Russell Henley (Cash/GPP)
I know he hurt me last week and probably a couple of others, but he sets up well and everything besides his driving distance is spectacular coming in 6th in my model.
Brian Harman (GPP)
Paid off last week when we were on him, but he has hurt us in the past and that is why he is GPP only. I will say though besides his Bridgestone record I feel like he can fit this course well and finish around top 20 which would be good.
Cameron Davis (Cash/GPP)
If we think bombers should do well here, then Davis should have a good week at this course. Has been playing great and is 14th in my model being top 10 in driving distance and proximity from 175-200 yards.
J.T. Poston (GPP)
Not long-ago Poston was missing a lot of cuts and looking terrible, but he has found something recently and looks to be putting everything together.
Keegan Bradley (GPP)
Has struggled the past five tournaments but has some of the best form you will see at Bridgestone which is a comp course. Could easily finish dead last but he could also finish top 5.
Harold Varner III (GPP)
If he could figure out how to gain strokes putting this week then I realistically can see him finishing top 10. Great on approach and 21st in driving distance as well.
Christiaan Bezuidenhout (Cash)
Going to be a cash game only play for me this week because I see a top 30 in his future and at this price that should be plenty here.
Scott Stallings (Cash/GPP)
Of course, last week I hop on this train and it derails, and he misses the cut. I think he gets back on track this week and for this price should smash. 10th in my overall model on the week as well so I think him quite a bit.
Adam Hadwin (GPP)
The reason I have him as a Gpp play is due to him being pretty bad lately. Now I will say he has some good upside at this price and is one of the better putters in this field and his proximity numbers are good.
Brenden Steele (GPP)
If he can find any way to gain strokes putting this week, he might legit finish top 5 at a very cheap price. I would not go heavy here but finish 24th at Bridgestone in 2017 and sitting 4th in my model this week.
