Welcome to Week 2 of our NFL DFS Quarterbacks coach article – where I identify optimal point-per-dollar plays for our lineups on FanDuel and DraftKings. The biggest factors to consider when selecting Quarterbacks for our DFS lineups are matchup, game flow, Vegas totals and spread. Ideally, facing weak defenses with subpar secondaries are always our first target. For Quarterbacks to be viable DFS plays, we must focus on matchups where we believe the games will stay close and competitive or a team will be losing late and need to throw. For GPPs/tournaments, I tend to avoid Quarterbacks who are large Vegas favorites (14+ points), knowing that, if these favorites get out to a big lead early, they will stay between the tackles and run the ball most of the time. Let’s get into the plays for Week 2!

It is a nine-game schedule on Tuesday for DraftKings because they couldn’t resist including the second game of the Yankees’ doubleheader. FanDuel is an eight-game slate as they left off the Yankees game. Hopefully, you enjoyed the MLB season, and let’s make the last few days profitable. The weather looks miserable on the East Coast, so keep an eye on it. Be careful with teams that have clinched their playoff spots and seedings. We saw the Astros only give their main stars a few at-bats before pulling them. I would avoid full stacks on this slate. The most runs scored by one team was five on Monday, outside of the extra-inning game in Milwaukee. The pitching rankings could vary based on lineups that are announced.
