Cole Shelton provides his MLB Picks for today’s slate of games! Milwaukee is starting left-hander Eric Lauer, who’s 10-6 with a 3.54 ERA. In his last five starts, he’s 2-3 with a 3.34 ERA, and although he struggled in his lone start against the Rockies this season, that seems a bit of an outlier. The Brewers are slamming .236/.316/.411 as a team, while on the road, they slash .233/.305/.403, and in September, they are hitting .221. In six games against the Rockies, the offense has clicked as they slash .269/.339/.468 while also going deep nine times. To add to that, against Freeland, Luis Urias bats .444 in 9 ABs, Hunter Renfroe hits .333 in 21 ABs, Andrew McCutchen hits .308 in 26 ABs, and Esteury Ruiz is 1-2.
