2026 MLB Umpire Report – Thursday’s Strike Zone
If you have followed me in the past, you know I identify the best plays of the day for DFS, seasonal, and now strikeout props based on who is working home plate that day. The article will be a little different this year, as Swish Analytics no longer provides the stats I once used. Instead, I am focusing on home plate umpire tendencies, current strikeout props, and team strikeout rates against right-handed and left-handed pitching to identify the best opportunities available. We will highlight pitchers worth targeting in seasonal fantasy baseball formats, point out strong DFS plays, and identify strikeout props that may present value. Christian McCaffrey, Regression Candidate
Since Christian McCaffrey entered the NFL, he has been a Top 2 RB in PPR scoring every season that he has stayed healthy (except his rookie year). In 2023, he averaged 24.7 FP/G in PPR scoring over 16 games and was the #1 RB in FP/G. Last year, he averaged 24.5 FP/G in 17 games and again was the #1 RB in FP/G. In between, he only played 4 games of the 2024 season. So the easy prediction is that McCaffrey will be a Top 2 back – probably RB1 – again in 2026, unless he gets hurt.
