I have a short memory.
I have no memory: You remember how a pitcher pitched last week, you remember they suck at night, you remember they were bad against The Tribe last time they played. I give no fucks. You know who cares about this type of stuff? That’s right our Loser Joe. Joe listens to the announcers and takes note of these things because this is the type of shit they talk about.
On a large enough sample players always perform to a mean. Without getting too involved in the psychology of recency bias let’s just say it is human nature to put more weight on recent events than we should.
My answer to all this is, “fuck you, what is the price?” This is all noise. If you are basing your opinion on an outcome from a recent event or trend you will go broke. Joe the loser has a long memory, Rob the winner can’t remember what he had for breakfast.
Don’t be like Joe, stop searching for answers in the past. Live in the now and accept what the market gives you. You will be better for it and remembering shit is too hard.
In the words of Method Man, “Too many want to be hard, be easy.”
