Last week was not terrible but I did not see Burns coming back down 7 shots to beat Scottie Scheffler here. I was on vacation so I did not pay much attention to everything that went down but I am here now and glad to be back with a fresh mind and hope to bring it to you guys so we can smash and make a bunch of money. LET’S GET IT!!
Course Preview
This week we move to Dublin Ohio to play at Muirfield Village which has been a course on tour since 1976 and is a beautiful course that tests golfers all around games. These greens are super firm and fast and are a staple of this course so if you aren’t hitting the correct part of greens, you will be struggling all week and will more than likely miss the cut. This course went under a renovation in 2020 to add 100 yards to it making this a 7,543-yard par 72 with 4 par 5’s 10 par 4’s and 4 par 3’s. A lot of stuff here is compared to Augusta and like Augusta you will need to be good off and around the greens. The greens are very fast making long approaches difficult to hold the greens. On the par 5’s now golfers are saying the holes are easier to lay up the 2nd shot and get up and down for birdie on 3rd shots. Fairways are very generous here and yield 70-75% hit. Now if you miss the fairways, you will be penalized more than likely with thick rough and also water on most holes. This course is a Jack Nicklaus design and Patrick Cantlay is one of the best golfers on this design so we will probably be looking at him here once again. Pay very close attention to the wind here because in previous years it was way up and made this course much tougher with less scoring.
Stats I am Looking at

Player Breakdown
Jon Rahm (Cash/GPP)
Highest priced golfer in the field and everybody all week will be talking about how he was up 6 shots going into Sunday when he had to withdraw here and probably would have easily won last year. I like him a lot this week and so will everybody else hoping he repeats last year.
Collin Morikawa (Cash/GPP)
Call me crazy I don’t care. He is going to find that putter soon and when he does you will see him finish top 5 and maybe even win. This course has made bad putters better which was mentioned by other golfers also.
Patrick Cantlay (Cash/GPP)
I don’t think I have ever started an article with the top three priced guys on the slate. These guys should all finish top 10 this week and one of them probably wins. Cantlay loves Nicklaus design courses, so I have to have him listed with him winning here twice.
Jordan Spieth (Cash/GPP)
I think I have had him in the article for the past three tournaments which if you played him, you would be happy 2/3 times. Spieth also has played good here and the comp courses.
Viktor Hovland (GPP)
This is a tough one just due to Hov not being good Arg at all, but we are betting on his irons being crazy good and not needing to need to be doing much Arg and when he does just need it to be good enough.
Hideki Matsuyama (GPP)
Seems to be a lot more consistent as of late and has win equity here. One of the best ball strikers in the field and his putting is coming together the last few tournaments.
Shane Lowry (GPP)
This man is just on another level lately and even though his price is getting up there he can still pay that tag off and can finish top 15 at this course.
Cameron Young (Cash/GPP)
I am fully into the hype of Young and like him for this week. Great ball striking and good off the tee which will be good for this course. He also has three straight top 5 finishes which is very impressive. Young also finish top 15 at API and top 5 at the Wells Fargo which are comp courses.
Max Homa (GPP)
Stats look great for him coming in 4th in my model and has won the Wells Fargo twice. WF is a comp course to here.
Keegan Bradley (Cash/GPP)
Keegan has been great lately and sets up well for this week. Great ball striker and his best putting surface is on Bent so that is also a plus.
Billy Horschel (Cash)
I do not love him for GPP but I like him for cash once again. Sub $8k and plays Nicklaus designs well.
Matt Kuchar (GPP)
Has not done great here the last couple years but he is great at Nicklaus courses and plays the comp courses well. He has good history here but that is also prior renovation.
Bryson DeChambeau (GPP)
I really hope he plays this week because I will be all in on him and hope he is not chalky. Guy is great at the Wells Fargo and API along with playing well at this course and any course with four par 5’s Bryson is in consideration.
Marc Leishman (GPP)
I think this could be a low owned play this week for GPP and has some pretty good upside. Plays comp courses well and also has finished top 10 here before.
Aaron Wise (GPP)
High upside but a lot of downside as well. Finished 9th here after the renovation and also finished 9th, 18th, and 2nd at the wells.
Rickie Fowler (Cash/GPP)
I think this is the week he breaks out and has a crazy week. I really like what I see from stats and also he plays here well and the comp courses well also.
Luke List (GPP)
Risk/reward play and if he somehow finds a way to gain strokes putting, he might finish top 15 because everywhere else is usually pretty good.
Ryan Palmer (Cash/GPP)
If you are playing Rahm, then playing Palmer with him is usually something you can look at. While Palmer has not been great lately, he is a good golfer and does well at the same courses as Rahm.
Kevin Streelman (GPP)
Plays well at this course but has not been good as of late making him a GPP only play.
Francesco Molinari (GPP)
This one might surprise you guys a bit, but I like this play this week for a deep GPP type play. He has played all comp courses really good but hasn’t been the same lately. If he can get it going, he pays this tag off easily.
Matthew Wolff (GPP)
Here is your 2% play for GPP this week and I know its super risky but if he can get back to last year he will do just fine and is super cheap.
GPP Core
- Rickie Fowler
- Collin Morikawa
