Texans | John Metchie making ‘significant’ progress

Houston Texans WR John Metchie (illness) has ‘made significant progress’ in his recovery from a battle with leukemia, general manager Nick Caserio said on Friday, April 21. ‘I mean, I don’t want to use the word ‘rare,’ but what he’s done and what he’s endured physically, I mean, honestly it’s mind blowing. It really is,’ Caserio added. An exact timetable for his return wasn’t given, but Metchie is expected to take part in the team’s offseason program.
