BIOGRAPHY

Russell Clay joined FantasyGuru.com as a contributor in August 2018. He prides himself on being a versatile fantasy writer who’s able to provide strong analysis on a wide array of topics.

Clay’s written career started in 2012 at DynastyLeagueFootball.com where he spent his time researching dynasty fantasy football strategy and college prospect evaluation. He spent three seasons with the DLF team before moving on to ProFootballFocus.com in 2015. As a contributor to the fantasy team, Russell hosted the PFF Dynasty Slant Podcast, provided weekly rankings and wrote about college football DFS.

As the daily fantasy industry exploded, Russell was lucky enough to provide content for draftkingsplaybook.com , rotogrinders.com and dailyfantasycafe.com . In the spring of 2016, Russell took a full time position with dailyfantasycafe.com where he ran social media accounts, provided content for the three major sports (MLB, NBA, NFL) and contributed to their lineup optimizer.

Through his experience contributing to a plethora of sites and being involved in the fantasy industry, Russell is very thankful to have learned from bright writers like Ryan McDowell, Adam Harstad, Mike Clay, Jeff Ratcliffe, Jason Guilbault and Jon Moore. Through their work, he’s adopted an empirical view on fantasy analysis, striving to have strong data backing every opinion.

In the spring of 2018 Russell contributed to the dynastycommandcenter.com draft guide. He provided projected draft position before the draft, player write-ups and rookie rankings.

When he’s not focusing on fantasy sports, Russell is likely playing chess, relentlessly refreshing his email or trying to find the next great show on Netflix.
