
Updating a previous report, Carolina Panthers LB Shaq Thompson (ankle) is expected to miss an extended period after the ankle injury he suffered in Week 2 against the New Orleans Saints, and source say it is likely he’ll be out for the season. He’ll have tests to determine the severity on Tuesday, Sept. 19. Head coach Frank Reich said the injury is ‘significant’. LB Kamu Grugier-Hill stepped up in Thompson’s absence.
