
Carolina Panthers RB Miles Sanders was signed as a free agent to be a ‘safety blanket’ for No. 1 overall draft pick Bryce Young – a player the team could ‘rely on in the running game and be an outlet in the passing game,’ according to ESPN.com’s David Newton. Per Newton, the ‘goal is to get (Sanders) back to where he was as a rookie in 2019’ when he caught 50 passes for the Philadelphia Eagles.
