Retired NFL QB Tom Brady recently told Vic Blends of the DeepCut podcast that he would consider returning to the NFL if a team in contention lost its starting quarterback late in a season. While acknowledging the possibility that his return might be a violation of NFL rules – as a potential future minority owner of the Las Vegas Raiders – Brady suggested he could be tempted to play if the league allows him to do so.
‘I’m not opposed to it. I don’t know if (the NFL is) going to let me, if I become an owner of an NFL team, I don’t know. I’m always going to be in good shape, always going to be able to throw the ball. So, to come in for a little bit, like (Michael Jordan) coming back (to the NBA after becoming a part owner of a team), I don’t know if they’d let me, but I wouldn’t be opposed to it,’ Brady said.
