
Updating a previous report, Detroit Lions WR Jameson Williams (knee), who is working his way back from reconstructive surgery to repair a torn ACL, didn’t suffer damage to other ligaments, according to Dr. Lyle Cain, who led the procedure on Williams’ knee. Williams said he expects to be ready for training camp and has a goal to play in the team’s first preseason game. ‘Jameson’s goal is to play first preseason game, obviously. I told him, I said, ‘Look, depending on which team you go to, most teams are probably – they’re going to be very conservative. You’ve got to understand that,” Lyle told the Detroit Free Press.
