Detroit Lions QB Matthew Stafford has the full trust of his coaching staff after television cameras caught him appearing to say ‘trust me’ after a timeout was called by the sideline with the play clock winding down ahead of a third-and-5 play in the fourth quarter of Sunday’s tie against the Arizona Cardinals.
‘To sum it up, like 1,000 percent,’ head coach Matt Patricia said Monday, Sept. 9, when asked about his trust level with Stafford. ‘Everyone knows how much I think of, how highly I think of him and trust him. There’s no issue.’
