Kansas City Chiefs impending free-agent DL Chris Jones appears unlikely to remain with the team after his contract efficiently expires at the start of the new league year on March 13, according to NFL.com’s Jeffri Chadiha. Among the many factors, Chadiha cites the fact that Kansas City has never given substantial money to a player who has reached the age of 30 (Jones will hit that mark in July) as well as Jones’ desire to get paid handsomely (he was asking for a deal in the $30 million annual salary range neighborhood last year).
