BIOGRAPHY

The behind-the-scenes man for the company, Ben is a 4/4 fan for Philadelphia sports, plus an avid Cleveland sports supporter as well, thanks to his dad and grandparents, whose roots are in Northeast Ohio. He grew up in Cherry Hill, NJ and became a professional at writing about and watching football after realizing his immense 4’11 stature entering high-school wasn’t too conducive for playing football. A horror film nut and part-time college educator, Kukainis is proud to continue working alongside the Guru & Company for yet another year.

Kukainis graduated from Rutgers University in 2009 with a BA in English and a minor in Cinema Studies, and then from Rutgers-Camden in 2014 with an MA in English. At Rutgers, he was a writer and editor for one of the university’s Arts & Entertainment newspapers, as well as a member of Casual Harmony, the school’s premiere all-male a cappella group. After college, he spent four years teaching English and Language Arts at the middle-school and high-school level from 2009-2013 before landing at Fantasy Guru in July 2013. He is also an Adjunct Professor of Composition and Literature at surrounding community colleges in South Jersey and at Rowan University in Glassboro, NJ…and it’s inevitable that a handful of his students become Guru subscribers each semester!

Dolan and Hansen have referred to Ben as the “Utility Infielder” and “Swiss Army Knife” of the company, doing everything from proofreading articles, to editing audio in podcasts, to customer service, website maintenance, supplemental writing, gameday updates and more. He’s here to answer questions about the site, subscriptions, articles and everything else under the Fantasy Guru sun with the Twitter handle @FG_Operations.
