Site Help: 2005 Site Overview

2005 Subscriber,
Welcome to the 2005 season! We hope our preseason content helped you draft well this summer.

As you have probably noticed, we have redesigned the site this year and have many new features. While the new stuff may take some getting used to - and while we know some are resistant to change - we feel what we're offering this year and how we offer it will be a major upgrade over previous years.

Here's an overview of our site and service for the rest of 2005.

Content Delivery/E-Mail

During the season, we e-mail a large portion of our content (we can't e-mail the web-based items that are not text articles). We generally post content online and then e-mail it shortly thereafter when all the items for a particular day are completed.

Due to various spam/junk mail issues, we cannot guarantee you will get our e-mails, but the service we use generally does a good job in terms of not being blocked as spam. However, all ISPs are different. If you are not receiving e-mails, first check any spam or junk mail folders and make sure you allow mail to come to you from our servers (fantasyguru.com) and our mailing company's servers (sparklist). You may have to contact your ISP to make sure they accept mail from fantasyguru.com and sparklist.com.

If you're still having problems receiving our e-mails, you should create a free e-mail account somewhere. Currently, we have no issues sending mail to yahoo, msn, hotmail, and gmail.

Layout/Content

We have grappled with the layout and presentation of the content for quite some time. Part of our problem has been that we listened to reader feedback - and then we get more feedback requesting the exact opposite. This year, we sought professional help, and that came from someone very familiar with our content.

Instead of presenting content by type, we are now presenting it by day with our new calendar layout. So rather than searching the page (and too far down the page) for fresh content, you simply need look for the current day to see the latest content. Now, all you need to know is what is published when. Here's an overview of that for a typical week (one without a Thursday game).
