Just missed it: Week Seven

Here is another look at the week that was in terms of the “just missed it” plays. Yes, I know a “just missed it” TD is worth 0 points, but I think these notes are worth publishing because I’d want to know if a guy who didn’t do anything for me in a given week at least almost scored, or was in a position to score.

Marshawn Lynch had a touchdown taken off the board by review
Tate punt return for TD taken off the board by penalty
Brandon Browner trips over himself on way to end zone on potential pick-six, Marshawn finishes it off two plays later
Palmer leads Ellington a yard too far in end zone on wheel route against LB-man coverage

 

Jacoby Jones had a step for potential long TD pass but Flacco throws it way too short.
Derek Moye has a potential long TD pass slip through his fingertips for TD. Did make an acrobatic catch earlier in the game
Emmanuel Sanders kickoff return for TD taken off the board, stepped out of bounds.

 

Case Keenum had Garrett Graham wide open deep downfield for potential TD, just overthrew him off of play-action roll to opposite side
Graham dives for end zone on run along sideline, [...]
