Dynasty Draft Update

I have been buried with our player profiles, which are larger than ever this year, so I have neglected to keep anyone interested up-to-speed on this ongoing dynasty league startup draft. Here’s a quick review of my picks since I’ve last touched base.

First six picks (reviewed in previous posts):

1.03 Newton, Cam CAR QB

2.10 Peterson, Adrian MIN RB

3.03 Welker, Wes NEP WR

4.10 Brown, Antonio PIT WR

5.03 Spiller, C.J. BUF RB

Quick review of the rest:

6.10 – Hernandez, Aaron NEP TE – My team name is “Gurrific,” so my picks better be. Hernandez fits the bill. Yes, there are more mouths to feed, but worrying about that, at this point, is paralysis by over-analysis. Hernandez is very young at 23.

7.03 – Turner, Michael ATL RB – Everyone seems to think he’ll fall off a cliff this year, but there’s actually little evidence of that other than the date on his birth certificate. Obviously, he’s a year-to-year guy in a dynasty league, but I needed someone to hang my hat on in this year in case AP has issues.

8.10 – Bush, Michael CHI RB – Guess what? He’s your lead back in 2013. You can mark that down in pen. So while not the greatest pick for the long-term, [...]
