Buffalo Wild Wings Update: Week Eleven

As predicted here last week, I fell in this league, as my win-one-week, lose the next week trend continues. So I am feeling good this week, but my time is running out. I just want to make the playoffs now because in this PPR league I do have some good receivers, and thus a chance.

The only moves I made this week of note were at PK and DT, and I went with the Saints in both cases. Actually, I also picked up Chris Ivory in desperation, so I’m all in on the Saints. Here’s my Week Eleven lineup:

QB: Tom Brady

RB: Adrian Peterson

RB: Willis McGahee

WR: Greg Jennings

WR: Mike Williams (TB)

WR: Jeremy Maclin

Flex: Malcom Floyd – Taking a shot here for upside

TE: Jacob Tamme

PK: Garrett Hartley

DT: New Orleans

I like my matchups this week for the most part, so I’m sniffing a victory in Week 11. I’m predicting 130 points.

Buffalo Wild Wings Update: Week Ten

Last week I predicted a victory in this league and about 125 points, and I got that victory but with 150+ points, so I had a good week. I did not make much of an impact on the WW this week, as I’m holding on to my vast collection of stash-and-hope RBs, but I was able to add more to the collection before he played (and scored) in Week Ten and that was Jason Snelling. So if Mike Turner goes down, I’m good to go. The reason these stash-and-hope RBs are huge for me is because one more impact RB, and my team has a real chance to surprise and steal this thing (PPR league), despite having Tom Brady on my team and losing Malcom Floyd for a while and Jermichael Finley for the season. I probably should be searching for a replacement for Brady, but I have not taken that time, which is probably for the best since Brady hasn’t been awful.

Otherwise, I dropped PK Jason Hanson of course and picked up Josh Scobee, which has a great matchup this week. I’m 5-4 and a win this week would be sweet, as I’d feel respectable at 6-3. That said, […]

Buffalo Wild Wings Update: Week Nine

I had a tough go last week in this league, as I scored enough points to win (119), but lost by 10 points. I blame the loss on Buster Davis, who I gave a shot with Leg Naanee out. Of course, I was unable to replace him once he was made inactive because I was too preoccupied during the games last week. So I’m now 4-4 and still kicking myself for not finding a way to help my dire RB situation. Tom Brady’s not helping me, and my Jermichael Finley loss is a killer, but I could have helped myself if I had a little less on my plate. So this team could easily be 6-2 and right in the thick of things. Now I’m just shooting for respectability.

I did get Jacob Tamme two weeks ago, which was great, but I had to cut LeGarrette Blount to get him, which is a killer. I had Blount on my roster as a stash-and-hope guy, but I unwisely took a shot with dropping him for Tamme two weeks ago in the hopes that Blount wouldn’t do much in Week Seven and I could get back in Week Eight, but I could not.

As […]

Week 1 is in the books. Let’s just say you won’t be seeing me anytime soon on an Fantasy Feud commercial winning a $1,000,000!! Of the my starting $500 Bankroll, I was left with $471 come Tuesday Morning. Not terrible. It’s all about having fun and hopefully winning a little money in the process. I […]

And here we are. Week One. Thursday Night Football. A damp, fall-like evening in the Northeast. The perfect evening to kickoff the NFL’s 50th SuperBowl Season. I’m not going to lie, I have some butterflies in my belly. Maybe it’s because I just deposited $500 into an account at FantasyFued.com. Maybe it’s because I never […]
