Get ready for a wild season

Whew. I finally got done editing and posting our initial 2010 player previews. They are the beefiest yet and contain more analysis and information than we’ve ever had (I don’t miss the magazine and its space restrictions at all). Contrary to what one blog respondent wrote here recently, I think bigger is better when it comes to these previews/profiles. In fact, while these things are massive, they probably could have been 15-20% bigger and still contain zero fluff. For those who are simply looking for 1-2 sentences on the players, check out the comments within the projections.

For everyone else interested in reading these, consider it assigned summer reading – and your deadline’s about August 1st. If you follow along over at my Twitter account @FG_Dolan (shameless plug), you’ve probably noticed my undying love for Jordy Nelson, and the fact that I’d happily welcome him onto any of my fantasy teams this year. First of all, he’s madly productive as is: he hauled in 85/1314/8 last year and averaged 16.5 FPG in a PPR league. That was good enough to rank h […]

  • 12-Team PPR Mock Auction Review, Strategy, and Lessons Learned June 5, 2014
On somewhat of a whim, I decided to do some mocking on Wednesday night, but instead of trying to compare ADP numbers and working out the best spots to pick from, my idea was to run an auction. We ended up getting a 12-team PPR mock auction with a $200 cap done in a few hours, although with the informal atmosphere, a handful of teams ended up going on autodra […]
