Breaking Down the Favre Fallout

You may recall a post I did way back in February in which I was somewhat critical of the Vikings for settling on Sage Rosenfels as their QB answer this year. Granted, I didn’t blame them too much, since the pickings were slim, but that doesn’t mean Sage wasn’t an average choice. At the time, I thought they should look at Derek Anderson, who I believe is a better player than Rosenfels. And my basic point then was proven credible by the team’s inclination to sign Brett Favre. Actually, “inclination” may be a mild term. You may even say “obsession.” In the end, the Vikes apparently damn near begged Favre, and they even reportedly gave his number out to some of their star players, hoping they could talk the veteran out of retirement.

  • The Prince Connection: Rodgers and Nelson July 7, 2014
If you follow along over at my Twitter account @FG_Dolan (shameless plug), you’ve probably noticed my undying love for Jordy Nelson, and the fact that I’d happily welcome him onto any of my fantasy teams this year. First of all, he’s madly productive as is: he hauled in 85/1314/8 last year and averaged 16.5 FPG in a PPR league. That was good enough to rank h […]
