NFL.com Expert Mock today at 1pm

I’m doing yet another mock draft today, and this one I’m actually going to do well in as opposed to the last one, when I only did “okay” in. The reason I was distracted while drafting this past Friday was because, just when I started to draft, we got an initial shipment of magazines in the office, and Matt Camp and I had to unload a sh&tload of mags and carry them into the building, so I wasn’t paying attention to the draft.

If you ordered a magazine, you should be getting yours some time next week.

I have the 11th pick, so it should be an interesting study on what to do if you’re drafting late in the first. I’m thinking of testing out taking 2 stud WRs with my first two picks and see what I end up with.

I’ll be posting my picks as the draft starts, starting at 1pm ET.

1:30: I’m doing a little experiment, since this is a mock only and it’s a PPR, I’m going to see what I end up with if I go two stud WRs with my first two picks starting out at the #11 hole. The results so far have been pretty decent.

  • Position Battle Playing Time for First Full Week of Preseason Action August 13, 2014
We continue to update the position battles around the league, but in this blog, I thought looking at preseason playing time would be interesting. The depth chart doesn’t always tell the whole story and it’s certainly worth noting when players get in the game and who they get to play with, whether it’s with the first-team offense or the backups. If you’re loo […]

  • Poll Result Analysis: RB Sleeper Candidate Targets August 12, 2014
Over the last week, we posted a poll asking you which RB sleeper candidate was at the top of your targets list. The results varied throughout the week and Falcon rookie RB Devonta Freeman led most of the way, but things certainly changed after a full week of preseason games:                           As you can see, the final results put 49er rookie RB Carlo […]

  • How the New Focus on Defensive Penalties may Affect IDP August 11, 2014
FantasyGuru.com IDP Analyst Corby Yarbrough can be found on Twitter @Corby_Yarbrough. Not that there is anything we as IDP players can do about it, but I just needed to vent my grief that an already inconsistent aspect of fantasy football has the potential to drive us even a little more crazy in 2014. Week One of the NFL preseason is in the books, and if the […]
