Five New Veteran WRs in Free Agency
The 2009 free agent WR class just got larger, so here’s a quick overview of the veteran who have suddenly hit the market, with some teams I think could use them.
Marvin Harrison – The logical landing spot for Harrison would be Philadelphia. It’s his hometown, and he would be reunited with his former college QB Donovan McNabb. Harrison would be a decent fit, but the Eagles would preferably add a receiver with a little more size. Otherwise, he’s an all-time great, so he’d be a great #3 or even #2 for pretty much any team.
Laveranues Coles – Of course, the first team you have to think of is the Dolphins, where his boy Chad Pennington is. They could use him, too, and he’s a good fit for what they do. He’s also from Florida. He could help the Bills, although he doesn’t have the size they need. I could see him in Chicago.
Drew Bennett – The first team I thought of when Bennett was released was the Redskins, who haven’t had a sizable wideout for their red zone offense in years. He’s never been in a west coast system, but Washington could use him. He could also help the Falcons [...]
